Walter Roberts

Funeral Services for Mr. Walter L. Roberts will be held on Saturday October 13, 2018 at 2:00 PM at The Chapel of Serenity Funeral Home 414 Telfair Street, Dublin. Rev. Dave Hall, will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow at the Brazeal Chapel Memorial Cemetery.

Mr. Roberts was born on April 29, 1933 in Wrightsville, to the late Walter and Mamie Roberts.  He attended Johnson County Schools and worked as a construction worker for years. He was preceded in death by his siblings: Ollie Ree Roberts, Ollie Mae Brooks, Horace Roberts, Cephus Roberts and, sister-in-law Annie Pearl Roberts. Mr. Roberts entered eternal rest on October 08, 2018 at Oconee Rehab Facility Oconee Georgia. 

He leaves to cherish his memories a devoted wife, Mrs. Margaret Roberts, five daughters: Bernice, Glenda, Barbara Roberts, Miami, Margaret (Ronnie) Rosado, Miami, Melissa King, Sandersville; three sons: William (Arnellya) Roberts, Tennessee,  Gerald King, Sandersville and Derrick Roberts; four sisters: Viola (Vernell) Woody, Retha Smith, Miami, Lee Taylor and Earnestine Coward, Baltimore, Maryland.

Seven sisters-in-laws: Aretha (Rickey) Brown and Dorothy James, Dublin, Joretha Jordan, Sandersville, Lena Shinholster, Uvalda, Ruthie Samuels and Alice Tucker of Baltimore, Maryland Carolyn (Jonah) Robinson; four Brothers-in-law Reginald (Donna) Linder Dublin, Barney (Darlene) Linder, Brewton, Nelson and Tommie Linder, Austin, Texas, a devoted aunt Annie Pearl Wright; 15 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 

The family will receive friends at the family residence 1244 Hwy 57 West, Wrightsville.

Serenity Funeral Home, Dublin has charge of arrangements.
