Funeral Services for Mr. Alvin "Smitty" Smith will be held on Saturday July 07, 2018 at 3:00 PM at the Chapel of Serenity Funeral Home 414 Telfair Street, Dublin. Rev. Ollie Taylor will officiate. Family will have a private interment.

Alvin "Smitty" Smith was born to the late Lemmie "Red" Smith and Marie Smith on November 25, 1949. He reigned from Rentz, Georgia where he grew up in his teen years. He attended Fleming High School in Georgia.

He leaves to cherish his life, his mother Marie Smith; his two brothers; Nathaniel (Nat Butter) Smith, Leonard "Flint" Smith; his Sister-in-law Cynthia Smith (preceded in death brother David Earl "Old Folks" Smith); his sisters, Jeanelle Hammonds; Lennie Mae Smith-Thorpe and Brenda Kay Smith- Moore. His close buddy; his nephew Paul "Shakedown."

His wife, Rosie Smith; his oldest daughter Renita Marie Jackson(Maurice); Tamantha Celeste Wallace(Neville) and his three grandchildren Reniya Aamari, Maurice Alvin, & Tamryn Alysse.

He also leaves to cherish his memories; his Brother in laws, his Sis. In laws and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Viewing will be held on Friday July 06, 2018 at Serenity Funeral Home. Serenity Funeral Home, Dublin has charge of arrangements.
