Arra Ann Spencer, age 56, passed away peacefully on September 14, 2026. Born on August 24, 1970, Arra was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and dear friend whose life was defined by the love and care she gave so freely to those around her.
Arra was a woman who found purpose in helping others. She proudly earned her GED and continued her education by completing nursing studies at Heart of Georgia Technical College, where she earned her Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification. She went on to work in home health care, where she dedicated herself to caring for patients and making a difference in their lives. Her compassionate heart and willingness to help others touched many of the people she encountered throughout her career.
While Arra was devoted to caring for others, her greatest joys in life were her family and her beloved dog, Savannah. Her family held a special place in her heart, and the memories they created together will be treasured for generations to come. She was a loving presence in the lives of her children, grandchildren, siblings, and friends, and she will be remembered for the love, kindness, and care she shared with them.
Arra was preceded in death by her parents, Bee and Annie Kate Sanford, and her beloved son, Steven Smith.
She leaves behind a loving family and many cherished friends who will continue to honor her memory and carry the love she gave them in their hearts.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Tyler Sanford; Alex Sanford (Destiny); Brett Sanford; Chris Allen Jr.; Noah Allen (Hali); and Jessica Cummings; and her grandchildren, Landyn Smith, Colton Smith, Lyla Smith, Braxton Sanford, Olivia Sanford, Journey Sanford, Freedom Sanford, Asher Sanford, Phoenix Allen, River Allen, and Remington Allen.
She is also survived by her sisters, Bonie Westerveld, Stephanie Rose, Sheila Martin, Theresa Sheffield, Pam Lumsden, and Angel Stewart, along with extended family members and dear friends who were blessed to know and love her.
Though Arra's earthly journey has come to an end, the love she shared and the lives she touched will never be forgotten. Her memory will live on through her children, grandchildren, sisters, family, friends, and all those who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished.
