Obituary

Celebration of Life Services for Mrs. Bonnie Mae Lattimore will be held Saturday, May 24, 2025, at 1:00PM. Location: Mt. Tilla Baptist Church  - 2424 US Hwy 441 North Irwinton, GA 31042. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Bonnie Mae Lattimore was born on September 29, 1934, to the late Lewis "Salem" Hill and Late Mary Jane Watkins Hill of Danville, GA. She later moved to Laurens County where she lived out the remainder of her life. Mrs. Lattimore was the oldest of 9 children. She was joined in holy matrimony to Fred Lee Lattimore of Henderson, GA for over 60+ years, who traveled the world during his military career and later settled his family during retirement in Laurens County. She was a devoted military wife, mother, and grandmother, even as a breast cancer survivor she was dependable while working several jobs leading up to her retirement from Dublinair Health & Rehabilitation Nursing Home in Dublin, GA.

At an early age she joined Mt. Tilla Baptist Church and served in many aspects faithfully until joining her husband to serve together at Macedonia Baptist Church, where she also dedicated her service as well as lovingly serving as the mother of the church until her departure.

She passed away peacefully from this life on the morning of May 16, 2025, at Dublinair Health & Rehabilitation Nursing Home in Dublin, GA after a gradual decline in health. Mrs. Lattimore was surrounded and supported by her loving family and caregivers during the last days of her life.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Fred Lee Lattimore Sr.; one son, Willie Fred Lattimore Jr.; her parents, Lewis "Salem" Hill and Mary Jane Hill; her siblings, Clinton Hill, George Lewis Hill, Edgar Eugene "Gene" (Hattie) Hill, Freddie Joe "Red" Hill, Tommy Hill, and Clyde James Hill; loving sister-in-laws, Caroline Miller and Deloris Hill; mother-in-law, Veola Butler Vickers; brother-in-laws, Roger and James Lattimore of Augusta, GA; and niece, Sandra Lloyd.

She leaves to cherish her memories; her children, Wilbert Jean (Sharon) Lattimore, Tony Edward (Ruby) Lattimore, Mary Marcelle Sparks Allen; daughter in law, Vera Lattimore; honorary granddaughter, Tonica Edwanna Lattimore; honorary great-grandson, Harvey Cason; and honorary great-granddaughter Tanesha Renee Cason; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren; her siblings, Jack Hill of Miami, FL and Janice Harris of Dublin, GA; honorary niece, Marie Hill; honorary nephew, Randy Hill; and a host of nieces and nephews; brother and sister-in-law's, Mamie and Lucille Lattimore, Cora Hill of Ft. Myers, FL, Eddie (Margaret) Lattimore, Gloria Hill of East Dublin, GA, and Mildred Hill of Dublin, GA; and many other relatives & friends, ALL whom she held dear to her heart.

Public viewing will be Friday, May 23, 2025, from 11:00AM until 8:00PM at the funeral home.
