Celebration of Life Services for Mr. Clifford Ray Boyd will be held on Friday, October 25, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Andersonville National Cemetery 496 Cemetery Road Andersonville, Georgia. Chaplain David R. Julian will officiate. Interment will follow at the Andersonville National Cemetery.

Mr. Clifford Ray Boyd, 82, of Thomaston, Georgia passed away Thursday, October 03, 2019 at Carl Vinson VA Medical Center in Dublin, Georgia. Clifford was born November 02, 1936, in Cookeville, Tennessee to Noble Haskell Boyd and Alma Bonnie Allison and the family moved to Michigan in 1948 when he was 12.

He graduated from Highland Park High School in 1955. He enlisted into the United States Army in 1955. Clifford married Beverly Geraldine Erdt on December 23, 1955. For the next 23 years they enjoyed Army life except for September 1968 – September 1969 when Roy was in Vietnam at a M.U.S.T Unit, the 45th Surgical Hospital in Tay Ninh. Returning home, he went to Walter Reed for 2 years after 7 years at West Point, New York where he then retired.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 64 years Beverly Geraldine Boyd; children, Nick (Gina), Duane (Teri), Kevin; grandchildren; Christy, Shanel, and Danny; five great-grandchildren;  Gabe, Spencer, Thaxton, Oynx, Nas, and a host of other relatives.
