Mr. Eddie Edward Sumner was born on August 24, 1942 in Adrian, Georgia, to the late Mr. Talmadge Bascum Sumner and Mrs. Ollie Mae Reese Sumner which preceded him in death, one sibling Eugene Talmadge Sumner, and granddaughter Christy Renee Sumner.

Mr. Eddie Sumner met and married Mrs. Sandra Poole Sumner and to this union six children were born. Eddie had many talents: he loved working on cars, playing the guitar, and most of all reading the bible.

On Thursday September 17, 2020, God called him home. He leaves to cherish his memories: a loving wife Sandra Sumner, six sons; Chris (Sheryl) Sumner, Bryan (Jeanine) Sumner, Tim (Wendy) Sumner, Robby (Dawn) Sumner, twins Randy (Wende) Sumner and Andy (Stacie) Sumner; grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and a host of family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to St. Jude's Hospital in honor of Mr. Eddie Sumner.
