Celebration of Life Services for Mrs. Elmira Irene Moore will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2026 at 11AM. Location – Valdosta Baptist Church in East Dublin, Georgia. Rev. John F. Sutton will preside, and Bishop Arthur Fulton will serve as eulogist. Public viewing will be held Friday, June 12, 2026 from 11:00AM until 7:00PM at Serenity Funeral Home - 414 Telfair Street Dublin, Georgia 31021.

Mrs. Irene Moore transitioned on Wednesday June 10, 2026. Mrs. Irene Moore was the daughter of the late Charlie and the late Grace Thomas.  She was born on July 17, 1936, in Laurens County. She was united in holy matrimony to the late Deacon Quinton Moore March 30, 1955, to this marriage seven children were born.  They remained married for 55 years.   Proceeded her also in death were her sons David and Wayne Moore, her grandson Clifford Chappell JR. her siblings: Isaac Thomas, Clarence (Jean) Thomas, Maggie (Robert) Wicker, Annette (David) Byrd, Grable (Lily) Thomas and Charlie Thomas.

At an early age she became a member of Pine Level Baptist Church until her marriage, in which she joined Valdosta Baptist church.  She participated in several ministries, but her passion was serving as a deaconess.  She retired from Laurens Park Mill (Carpet Factory) where she worked for over 25 years.

Mrs. Moore leaves to cherish in her memory Her Children: Elder Dianne (Bishop Arthur) Fulton, Deaconess Gwen (Deacon Gene) Scrutchins, Janetta (Hugh) Hall, Steve (Kordell) Moore, and Thomas B. Moore.  Her sisters Juanita (the late Willie) Payne and Charlie Mae (the late Rev Howard) Arnold and her sister-in-law, Anita Thomas.  Two bonus daughters Melissa and Patricia Thomas.  She is the grandmother of 11 children and the great grandmother of 11 children, and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
