Celebration of Life Services for Mr. James W. Ussery, Jr. will be held Thursday, October 5, 2023 at 11:00AM. Location: Shady Grove Baptist Church - 679 Shady Grove Church Road. Rev. Winfred L. McCloud will serve as eulogist. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.

James W. Ussery, Jr. was born November 20, 1962 in Rochester, New York to James W. Ussery, Sr., and Anna Ussery. In the early years of his life, the family relocated to Dublin, Georgia. It was there where he met the love of his life, started a family and remained the rest of his life. For many years James, known as "Jimmy," was a well-known electrician. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, James and Anna Ussery, father-in-law, Eugene O'Neal, sister, Maryann Fernandez and brother-in-law, Spencer O'Neal, Sr.

He leaves to cherish his memories his devoted wife of 37 years, Linda Ussery, two children, Ric and O'Nealia Ussery, grandchildren, Jamir Ussery, Kaden Ussery, Talia Ussery and Mar'Kia Brown, mother-in-law, Ella O'Neal, sisters, Susan Courtland, Lynn (Ricky) Thomas, and Regina McDaniel, brothers-in-law, Walter (Sandra) O'Neal, Fred (Janice) O'Neal, Larry (Amy) O'Neal and Vince O'Neal, sisters-in-law, Elanie (Willie) Evans, Genola Jackson, Lawanda (Gerod) Duff and Marquita (Don) Timmons, and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

The family will receive friends at the family residence 207 Valambrosia Road, Dublin.
