Memorial Services for Mr. James Robert Wells will be held on Sunday, August 16, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. Location: Central Drive Baptist Church East Dublin, Georgia. Following the service, Robert will be laid to rest at Marie Baptist Church Cemetery in Dublin, Georgia, beside his parents and older brother.

James “Robert” Wells, a beloved father, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend, passed away peacefully on August 9, 2026, in Swainsboro, Georgia, following an extended illness. He was 77 years old.

Robert was a dedicated truck driver who took great pride in his work. Over the years, his profession allowed him to travel many roads while providing faithfully for himself and his family. After many years of service, Robert retired, leaving behind a career that was an important part of the life he built.

Robert was a lifetime member of Marie Baptist Church in Dublin, Georgia. He will be laid to rest at Marie Baptist Church Cemetery, where he will be buried beside his beloved parents and older brother.

Robert was born to the late James C. Wells and Kathleen (Sanders) Wells of Dublin, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his parents and his older brother, Thomas O. Wells. Though they have gone before him, their love and influence remained a lasting part of Robert’s life.

He is survived by his daughter, Alana Woods; brothers, Charles E. Wells (Gail) of Dublin, Georgia, and John E. Wells (Shelia) of Swainsboro, Georgia; sisters, Jeanie (Wells) Russ (Dallas) of Woodstock, Georgia, and Kathy (Wells) Blanchett of Warner Robins, Georgia. He leaves behind many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and friends who will each carry their own special memories of him.
