Graveside Services for Mr. Leon Wright-Surrey will be held Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at 11:00AM. Location: Mt. Cilla Springs Baptist Church Cemetery 4142 Turkey Creek Road, Danville. Dr. Kendrick K. Mack will serve as eulogist.

Leon Wright Surrey was born on April 13, 1952, to Robert (Bob) Surrey and Hattie Wright Surrey in Twiggs County, Georgia.  Leon was call home on September 24, 2021.  He was preceded in death by his parents Robert Surrey and Hattie Surrey, daughter-in-law LaTasha Surrey and nephew Shondra Surrey, brother Eugene Wright.

He joined Mt. Cilla Spring Baptist Church at an early age.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Martha Surrey; children, Sharon (Eric) Barrett, Travis Surrey and Derrick (Renee) Surrey; grandchildren, Deontae Surrey, Kentavious Roberson, Deondre Surrey, Da'Quavious Nelson, Jalon Surrey, Ashante Surrey, Elijah Barrett, Miranda Surrey, Nijah Barrett, and Aaron Barrett; great-grandchildren, Keiton Roberson and Cy'Nise Antranette Surrey; siblings, Robert (Cheryl) Surrey, Gloria Surrey, Everette Surrey, Steven Surrey, Emitt Dupree, and Yolanda Surrey; in- laws, Louise Denson, Ethel Rene (Emory) Anderson, Irene Loyd, Marie Hudson, Mildred Wright, Otis (Lena) Mack, and Evans Mack; uncle, Timothy (Sally Ann) Surrey, and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and other relatives.
