Michael
Braswell
Dec 22, 1957 — Jul 9, 2026
In Loving Memory of Michael Wayne Braswell
On July 9, 2026, in Eastman, Georgia, Michael Wayne Braswell peacefully transitioned from this life into eternal rest.
Michael was born on December 22, 1957, to the late George and Annie Ruth White Braswell. He was the eldest of four children and was preceded in death by his brothers, Johnny Paul Braswell and Reginald Braswell.
At an early age, Michael accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. He was baptized and united with Bethlehem Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Reverend E. L. Mitchell, where he grew in faith and developed a lifelong relationship with Christ.
Michael attended Newton County High School. He began a dedicated career at Golden State Foods in Conyers, Georgia, where he worked faithfully for many years. He later began a career at the Miami shipyard. He took great pride in his work and was respected for his strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to excellence.
Outside of work, Michael had a passion for football. Whether watching games with family and friends or cheering on his favorite teams, football brought him great joy. He also treasured spending time with those he loved, creating memories that will forever be cherished.
Michael was blessed with four beloved children: Patrick Clark, Katrina Clark, Marchello Browning, and Cedric Smith. His love for his children was unwavering, and his family remained at the center of his life. His son, Cedric Smith preceded him in death.
He leaves to cherish his loving memory to his son-in-law, Lemandre Robertson; his daughter-in-law, Latease Maddox; one brother, George Braswell; his grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; cousins; and a host of extended family members and friends whose lives were touched by his kindness and love.
Though he has departed this earthly life, Michael's legacy of faith, love, dedication, and strength will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
