Funeral Services for Mrs. Ora Lee Hunter, of Dudley will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at Byrd Hill Baptist Church 2430 Old Hawkinsville Road Dudley, Georgia.  Rev. Warren Harris, Sr. will deliver the eulogy.  Internment will follow in the Macedonia Baptist Church cemetery.

On Tuesday, June 12, 2018, Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ called Mrs. Ora Lee Hunter to her heavenly home.  She was born on June 19, 1940 in Laurens County to the late Clifton Pierce and Clara Mae Carswell.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie B. Hunter; brothers, Seymour (Gussie) Swayne, Porter Carswell, Walker April Carswell, Nathaniel Carswell and Otha Carswell; sisters, Johnnie Bell (Robert) Burch and Lillie Bell (Joe) Jenkins.

Mrs. Hunter leaves to cherish her memory, a devoted daughter, Veronica Jeffreys who was also a God given gift of a niece; sister, Mrs. Clara (Rev. Stephen) Richmond (Dublin); brother, Clifton (Ann) Carswell (Macon); sisters-in-law, Doretha Carswell (Montrose), Dolly Carswell (Washington, D.C.) and Hattie Pearl Carswell (Dudley). A host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, cousins, long-time friends and her loving church members of Byrd Hill Baptist Church.

Mrs. Hunter will be placed in the sanctuary of Byrd Hill Baptist Church one hour prior to service. Viewing will be held at Serenity Funeral Home on Friday June 15, 2018. Services by Serenity Funeral Home of Dublin.
