Graveside Services for Mr. Wilbert Whirl will be held Sunday, January 3, 2020 at 2:00PM at Northview Cemetery North Franklin Street, Dublin. Dr. Carl A. Wardlaw will officiate.
Mr. Wilbert Whirl was born in Dexter, GA on June 14, 1954 to the late Willie Whirl and Catherine Jerry Guyton. His stepfather, Mr. Willie Guyton, Sr proceeded him in death. He attended Oconee High School in Dublin. He was married in holy matrimony to Patricia Ann Whirl August 31, 2001; she preceded him in death on October 28, 2018. Mr. Whirl worked in construction and landscaping for many years. He loved race car driving and listening to music. He leaves to cherish his memories: Ms. Catherine J. Guyton, mother; Ms. Fannie Mae Mitchell, great aunt; Irene (Willie C.) Strange, sister of Toomsboro, Annie Bell (Joseph) Adams, sister, of Dexter, his children: Jason & Carol Tanner; Loganville; Samantha Tanner & Matthew Lackey; James & Stephanie Tanner; Jessica Tanner; Ashley Tanner, all of Monroe; Vincent Whirl, Sr., Dublin,; brother in laws, John Ivey; TN; Billy Ivey; GA; sister-in- law, Tammy Ivey, Jessup; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends at Serenity Funeral Home Saturday, January, 02, from 4-6PM for visitation. Please post condolences at serenityfuneralhomedublin.com.
