Funeral Services for Mr. Willie James Watkins, Sr. "Lil" will be held Saturday, January 30 at 1:00PM at Millville Baptist Church 1681 Millville Church Road, Dublin. Pastor Chris Watkins will officiate. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.

Mr. Watkins was born September 4, 1939 to the last James Ira Watkins and Essie Mae Watkins. He was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Cathy Ann Watkins, grandson Jamie Watkins, and brother Nathaniel Watkins.

He was employed at Dudley Peanut Plant, Clawson Construction, Uniroyal Show Company, Forstman Company and Laurens County School System where he retired after 17 years of employment.

Lil is survived by his wife of 60 years, Annie Bell Watkins, five children Patricia Diane (Wade) Young, Celestine Watkins, Bernestine Watkins, Brenda Watkins, Willie James Watkins, Jr., and Dominique Watkins; five siblings Ernestine Cornellius, Donald (Sarah) Watkins, Eva (Eddie) Perry, Ferrell (Martha) Watkins, and Ronald Watkins, two aunts Daisy Pearl Watkins and Annie Mae Watkins, 14 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild and a host of children that he fostered for over 20 years and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Public Viewing will be held Friday, January 29 from 10-7PM at the funeral home.
