Allene Dixon

Celebration of Life Services for Ms. Allene Dixon will be held Saturday, January 11, 2025, at 1:00PM at Community Baptist Church located at 627 James Grove Church Road Wrightsville, Georgia. Reverend Hayward Cordy will serve as eulogist. Interment will follow at the Dixon Family Cemetery at 2194 Piney Mt. Church Road in Wrightsville, Georgia.

Allene Dixon, beloved child of the late John Willie Dixon, Sr. and Pauline Dixon of Wrightsville, Georgia born on July 25, 1945, earned her heavenly wings on January 3, 2025.  She was an honored member of Thompson Grove Baptist Church of Donovan, Ga. Allene graduated from Dock Kemp High School, Class of 1963, Wrightsville, Georgia. She worked many jobs during her journey of life to provide for her family but most notable, EZ Mills Inc, where she worked faithfully for over 20 years. Allene assisted numerous community members with their annual income taxes for over 20 years.  She retired in July 2010 from Georgia Department of Corrections (Food Service Division) Johnson State Prison of Wrightsville, Georgia.

Allene was preceded in death by her mother, Paulette Dixon, and her father, John Willie Dixon, Sr.; two brothers, John Willie Dixon, Jr. and Willie Lewis Dixon and one aunt, Ruby Mae Lemon.

She leaves to cherish her memories her two sons, Jimmy (Veronica) Dixon and Cedric (Tasheona) Dixon; sister-in-law, Nora Dixon; twelve grandchildren: Marhello Graddy, Sr., Terrence Dixon, Aquavion Powell, Kassidi Wright, Ta’nasajah and Sa’nasajah Dixon, Cedric Bridges, Caleb Robinson, Malaysia Dixon, Sylar Bridges, Meh-lani Dixon, and Dante Arnett. Great grandchildren: Marchello Graddy Jr., Jase Dixon, Kade Dixon, Braylen Graddy, Breanna Graddy, and Damari Arnett; nieces: Debra Baldwin, Jerwanda Dixon, Wenda Henley, Chicquita Dixon, and Tracie McBride; nephew, Jeffery Dixon; care givers: Janice Rawlings, Brenda Lemon, Tracey Poole, Annie Johnson, David Lemon, and those at Regency Southern Care; Cantrell Hines, her hairdresser for over 20 years, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Public viewing will be held Friday, January 10, 2025, from 10:00AM-7:00PM at the funeral home.
