Celebration of Life Services for Mr. Anthony D. Reeves will be held Monday, April 10, 2023 at 2:00PM. Location: Williams Chapel Baptist Church 1142 Highway 29 South, East Dublin. Pastor Eddie Hixon will serve as eulogist. Interment will follow at Dudley Memorial Cemetery.
Anthony Dewayne Reeves entered this Life on Thursday June 4, 1970 in Dublin, Georgia. He was a graduate of Dublin High School. Anthony served in the Georgia Army Reserve, and served in Desert Storm. He continued his education at Middle Georgia College in 2002, and completed his education at Georgia College State University where he received his BA Degree. Anthony was employed with Georgia Department of Corrections as a Correctional Officer and member of the CERT Team at Johnson Correctional Institutions from 1993-1996, Juvenile Correctional Officer at Wrightsville 1996-2001, Clerk at Johnson State Prison 2001-2004, Counselor at Johnson State Prison 2004-2007.
Anthony was preceded in death by his grandmother Mrs. Millie Reeves, aunt, Mamie Mirion Cherry, and uncle, Larry “Spooky” Reeves.
Anthony married Dionne Sampson August 11, 1990. Anthony became a faithful member of Williams Chapel Baptist Church.
Survivors include parents, Ms. Vernestine Reeves and Mr. Jessie (Felisha) Brown, son, Jordan Reeves, daughters, Hannah Dillard and Jessica Hession; brothers, Derrick Reese, Charles (Adwoa) Brown, David Brown; sisters, Angelica and Alesia Brown; aunts, Hazel Carroll and Darlene Ray; uncles, Jackie Reeves, Samuel Ray, and Johnny Ray, and a host of relatives and friends.
Public Viewing will be held at the funeral home Sunday, April 9, 2023 from 1:00-7:00PM.
