Bessie Catherine (Howell) Lumley

Mrs. Bessie Catherine Lumley, 67, was born January 12, 1957, to the parentage of Junior Howell and Mary C. Brinson in Dublin, Georgia.

Bessie transitioned to her heavenly home in Dublin, Georgia at Fairview Park Hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Junior and Mrs. Mary C. Howell, siblings, John A. Howell and Gary E. Howell, and one granddaughter, Autumn Hope Lumley.

She accepted Christ and attended Dublin Church of God. During her career she was employed with Hardland Check Company where she served many years.

Bessie’s beautiful family will always be cherished by her husband, Dwight Lumley, sons, Derek Lumley, Shawn (Racheal) Lumley, Jeremy (Veronica) Lumley and Todd Lumley, grandchildren, Austin Lumley, Alea Lumley, Anna Lumley, Jesslyn Lumley, Ashlyn Lumley, Gavin Lumley, Westin Lumley, Clayton Dean and Kayla Dean, great-grandchildren, Ryland Henry, Clementine Curley, Stella Mullis, Bella Ryals, Ryan Mullis and Gracelynn Hagans, her best friend, Diana Lumley, a host of brother and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Visitation will be held Saturday, September 21, 2024, from 6:00-8:00PM at the funeral home.

Celebration of Life Service will be held Sunday, September 22, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Serenity Funeral Home 414 Telfair Street Dublin, Georgia 31021.
