Carson Eugene Mack was born on September 27, 1969 in Miami, Florida to his proud parents, mother the late Betty Mack Allen  and Carlnell Jones. He was preceded in death by his mother and step father Wendell Allen.

Known best by his family and friends as the “comedian and chef”. Carson accepted Christ as his personal Lord and Savior at an early age. Carson grew up in Dublin, Georgia. He received his early education from Northwest Laurens Elementary and West Laurens Junior High. He was a part of the 1987 graduating class of West Laurens High School. Carson ran track, he was the fastest athlete representing Dublin, Georgia. Carson was also a hard-working student athlete throughout his school years.

Upon graduation Carson attended Albany State University in Albany, Georgia to major in accounting and run track in hopes of making it to the Olympics. During his years at Albany State University, Carson also pursued another passion which was cooking. Carson love serving others and found his passion in cooking for others as he says, “food is where the heart is.” He was such a servant worker for others. He worked as a chef in many restaurants, at his church home along with continuing his studies at Albany State University. He joined several different established and successful restaurants where he worked faithfully in the restaurant business over 30 years.

On December 14th, 2000, Carson married Veronda Shuman-Mack (Lacey), the two share a son Ta’lon Chandler Shuman-Mack.  Carson rededicated his life to Christ in 2021. He was a dedicated member serving in several leadership capacities. He served as the Church Cook and he assisted with a variety of ministries. He also volunteered with the Northwest Express Track & Field Club in Miami, Florida coaching, and mentoring youth through running.

Carson’s pride and joy was his children. He valued his role as a father and the passion to give his family support to both his sons. He loved to be around family, cooking for others, attending comedy shows, watching all movies (our very own movie critique). He loved spending that quality time with his sons Ta’lon Chandler Shuman-Mack (23 years old) and Dylan Carlnell Mack (11 years old).

Carson leaves to cherish his memory and legacy to his loving children Ta’lon Chandler Shuman-Mack (Kansas City, KS) and Dylan Carlnell Mack (Miami, FL) father, Mr. Carlnell (Mildred) Jones of Miami, FL; Siblings: Tarson Mack (Shelly) of Hinesville, GA, Wanetta Jones-Allen (Dwayne) of Houston, TX ,  LaTonya Gardner (Aaron) of Miramar, FL, and Rico Allen (Monique) of Dublin, GA.
