Charles Henry Smith

Charles Henry Smith transitioned Sunday, August 25, 2024 at Southland Health & Rehabilitation in Dublin, Georgia.

He was born January 9, 1943 in Estill, South Carolina to Carl McBride Smith and Thelma DeLoach Smith.

Charles was from Savannah, Georgia, owned and operated Smith Air Conditioning for nearly 30 years, loved spending time with his grandchildren, playing cards, and was a great tennis player in his day.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl McBride Smith and Thelma Marion DeLoach, and siblings, Carl Byron Smith and Carolyn Strawbridge.

Charles leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Glynda Crawford Smith, children, Celena Smith Egan (Jimmy), Trevor Smith (Brooks), brother, Walter DeLoach, grandchildren, Christian Egan, Brian Egan, Margaret Smith (Anissa), Henry Smith, William Smith and a host of other relatives.

Visitation will be held Saturday, August 31, 2024 from 4:00-7:00 PM at the Egan Residence in Savannah, Georgia. Graveside Services for Mr. Charles Henry Smith will be held Sunday, September 1, 2024, at 11:30 AM.
