Charlotte Denson

Celebration of Life Services for Ms. Charlotte Denson will be held Saturday, July 5, 2025 at 12:00Noon. Location: First African Baptist Church 405 Telfair Street – Dublin, Georgia. Apostle Jerry Rumph will serve as eulogist. Interment will follow at Dublin Memorial Gardens 2986 Highway 80 West – Dublin, Georgia.

Charlotte Denise Denson was the daughter of the late Mr. Willie Lee Denson and Mrs. Louise Denson. She was born January 7, 1975 in Dublin, Georgia. She departed this life on Monday, June 30, 2025, at 12:02 AM at the Wellstar Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia.  

Charlotte was a Dublin High School graduate, Class of 1993. She attended Valdosta State University where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Anthropology in 1998. She furthered her education at Walden University where she earned her Master’s in Social Work in 2023.

Charlotte dedicated over 24 years of her life to the field of Social Work, passionately serving individuals and families with compassion, integrity, and unwavering commitment. Her life work was rooted in helping others through challenging times, and she left a lasting impact on countless lives and communities. Her legacy of care, advocacy, and kindness will continue to inspire all who knew her. She made many friends over the years serving her fellow citizens. Charlotte was a passionate member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Incorporated. She became a member in 1997 through the Alpha Theta chapter at Valdosta State University. She was a current member of the Tau Omicron Zeta chapter based in Hephzibah, Georgia. Charlotte has been a pillar of the community serving others through her sorority.  

She leaves to mourn her fur baby, “Smokey” and loving fiancé, Dwayne “Eric” Rolland; her dear mother, Mrs. Louise Denson; loving sister, Ms. LaTasha Denson; two dear brothers, Michael Denson and Rodney Denson; a devoted niece, Ms. Ambreia Brown; 5 great-nieces  and nephews Audree Brown, William Tinsley, Ameria Tinsley, Alisha Tinsley, and Jacob  Tinsley; dedicated special friends, Dr. Andrea Thomas, Trina Lee, LaKesha Douglas, and  Prethenia Cone; her loyal line sisters, Latia Parrish, Shawonnica Hightower, and Alvera Banks-Flemming; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, co-workers and friends.

Public viewing will be held Friday, July 4, 2025 from 9:00-2:00PM at the funeral home.

Ms. Denson will be placed in the sanctuary of First African Baptist Church one hour prior to service.
