Celebration of Life Services for Mr. Corey R. Ellington will be held on Saturday, June 08, 2019 at 2:00PM at Second African Baptist Church 800 North Decatur Street. Pastor Korie Baker will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow at the Dudley Memorial Cemetery.
Mr. Corey Rashard Ellington was born on June 24, 1977 to Margie Ann Blocker and Zachary Ellington in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He passed away on June 2, 2019.
He was raised in Dublin, Georgia and was a Lawn Maintenance Worker in Sandersville, Georgia where he currently lived. Mr. Ellington was a very outgoing and outspoken person who enjoyed listening to music and spending time with his family and friends. Corey loved to eat and loved his grandmother Ethel's and mother’s soul food. Mr. Ellington was a member of Second Baptist Church and had a strong belief in the Lord.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Henry Blocker and James Ellington, aunt Ruby D. Williams (Robert Williams), and uncles Willie D. Spikes and Ricky Ellington.
Mr. Ellington leaves behind his loving wife Kimberly Ellington of Sandersville; daughters: Deajia Fripp and Kimbrelle Dixon, son Khalil Davis, his mother Margie Blocker (Bobby Ashley) of Dublin, Georgia, father Zachary Ellington of Seattle Washington, and grandmothers Ethel K. Spikes and Littia Ellington of Dublin, Georgia. He leaves behind his sister Courtney Blocker of Atlanta, Georgia and brother Zacharian Ellington (Tameka Kesha Ellington) of Dublin, Georgia, devoted aunt Rosemary (J.C.) Snell, aunts Ethel (Bennie) Wright, Felecia Blocker, Monica Blocker, Tammy Ellington, Bernadine Ellington, and Margo Ellington, uncles Britt Ellington, Tracy Ellington, Glynnis Ellington all of Dublin, Georgia, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Family will receive friends at the family residence at 611 North Franklin Street, Dublin. Serenity Funeral Home, Dublin has charge of arrangements.
