Donna Faye Gay passed peacefully on June 19, 2025, at the age of 70. She was born on July 23, 1954, in Wrightsville, Georgia to the parentage of Brener Clay Price and Annie Clyde Price. From an early age, Donna displayed a warm and nurturing spirit—qualities that would define her life.
Her kind spirit, warm heart, and unwavering faith touched the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She met no stranger and took the role of “Big Mama” to everyone who came around. She will always be remembered for her quiet strength, her deep love for family, and her gentle presence. Her life and legacy will live on in the hearts of all who loved her.
Donna was preceded in death by many beloved family members: her parents: Brener and Annie Price; siblings: Ola, James, and William; daughter: Rita Gay; grandson: Daniel Carver; father-in-law: Buddy Gay; mother-in-law: Sabre Gay; and sister-in-law: Pixie Gay.
Donna Faye is survived by her devoted husband, Henry Gay with whom she shared years of laughter and companionship; her children: Mandy Gay, Lori Elrod, Jason (Milixia) Gay, Shawn Estes, Sr., BJ Robertson, and Jamie Estes; siblings: Bernette (Roger) Wilkerson, Mary Sellars, and Sue Price; brother-in-law: Dale Gay; grandchildren: Matthew Clark, Alexandria Lyman, Shawn Allen Estes, Jr., CJ Mullis, and Chase Carver; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends who will all deeply miss her gentle presence and boundless affection.
