Donnie Mitchell

Celebration of Life Services for Mr. Donnie Mitchell will be held Thursday, January 18, 2024 at 11:00AM. Location: Serenity Funeral Home 414 Telfair Street – Dublin. Rev. Kendrick K. Mack will serve as eulogist. Interment will follow at Mt. Tilla Baptist Church Cemetery.

Donnie Mitchell of Allentown, Georgia was born June 4, 1961 to the late Mrs. Mary Lee Mitchell and Mr. Willie Girtman, Sr. He was called to eternal rest Saturday, January 13, 2024.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mrs. Mary Lee Mitchell and Mr. Willie Girtman, Sr., siblings, Larry Lee Mitchell, Ronnie Mitchell, Ezzard Howard Mitchell, daughter, Quenyatta Monique Mitchell and one great nephew Tyrese Wright.

Donnie was a member of The Church at Dudley. He was employed for many years with Watkins Logging until his health failed. Donnie loved fishing, gardening, working and fixing on small machines and playing softball. 

He leaves to cherish his memories, two children, Daphney (Anthony) Jackson, Sr. and Dontae Mitchell; five siblings, Mary Helen Harvey, Debbie Mitchell, Willie Girtman, Jr., Estella (Wayne) Lowery and Richie Girtman; aunts, Dalline (Judge Carl) Brown and Estelle Mills; a special friend, Grace Gilbert; devoted best friend, Willie Vickers, ten grandchildren and one great-grandchild and a host of other relatives.

Public Viewing will be held Wednesday, January 17, 2024 from 11:00-7:00PM

Serenity Funeral Home – Dublin has charge of arrangements.
