Eugene "Gene" Hudgins

Mr. “Gene” Hudgins passed away Wednesday, September 21, 2022 at his residence, surrounded by his family. He was born October 30, 1952 in Cusseta, Georgia where he resided for over forty years. He then later moved to the Atlanta area for eight years, and for his remaining years he relocated to the Hawkinsville / Dublin area.

Most of his life he worked in the remodeling and construction business before moving to Dublin to be near family. He treasured his family and friends and held them very close. His grand and great-grandchildren meant the world to him, and brought him so much joy.  In his last few months, he welcomed and express gratitude for old friendships and the love he shared with his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Andrew Erving  Hudgins and Evelyn Hudgins Williams; sister; Brenda Gail Willhite; brothers-in-laws Larry Harry, and Carl Wilhite; Several half brothers and sisters.

Mr. Hudgins is survived by two daughters; Shawana (James) Orr, of Dublin, Georgia, Brandi (Jose) Salas of Moore, South Carolina; five grandchildren; Seth Orr, Jonah Orr, of Dublin Georgia, Elizabeth Salas, Cecilia Salas Huffhaus, and Daniel (Kylee) Salas of Moore, South Carolina; five great-grandchildren; Ryann, Kennedy, Cameron Hoffhaus, Barrett, Quade Salas, of Moore, South Carolina, sisters; Carolyn Harry, of Hiram, Georgia, Diane (Eddie) Shirah, of Kennesaw, Georgia, Teresa (Phil) Raisin, of Dalton, Georgia, and a host of nieces and nephews.

A memorial service to be held and announced at a later date at Harmony Cemetery in Cusseta, Georgia
