Fannie Brazeal Obituary

Celebration of Life Services for First Lady Fannie Lee Brazeal will be held Saturday, January 18, 2025, at 11:00AM. Location: Mt. Green Baptist Church 591 Manning Drive– East Dublin, Georgia. Dr. George Fluellen will serve as eulogist. Interment will follow at Brazeal Chapel Garden of Rest 109 Manning Drive – East Dublin, Georgia.

Fannie was born May 16, 1947, to the late Willie Turner, Sr. and Adel Newsome Turner in Chester, Georgia. Her life story began in Dodge County as a member of Welcome Friend Baptist Church and received her education in Dodge County as a graduate of Peabody High School. As a child of the Most-High, Fannie had a love and a gift of music, she sang with many gospel groups around Central Georgia.

 She managed and sang with “The Spiritualletts” of Empire, Georgia and “The Gospel Lites” of Dublin, Georgia for many years. She was employed at Dublin Applebee’s, Dublinair Health & Rehabilitation, American Red Cross and Dublin City Schools. On February 12, 2012, she married the love of her life Bishop Grady Brazeal. She was a member and First Lady of Brazeal Chapel Holiness Church where she served as Missionary, Church Secretary, Church Mother and a member of Northen Georgia Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction of the Church of God In Christ under the leadership of Bishop Mark A. Walden, Sr.  As her life matured, she raised many children as her own.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie Turner, Sr. and Adel Newsome Turner; her siblings, Luetrell Roache, Mamie Johnson, Willie Turner, Jr., James Melvin Turner and Isaiah Turner.

Fannie leaves to cherish her husband, Bishop Grady Brazeal, children, Debra Bell, Brenda Patterson (Arthur Ellis), Shale Martin, Flay (Natasha) Brazeal, Minister Alton (Keisha) Brazeal; siblings, Pearline (Deacon Willie) Gilbert, Sr., Maebell (Earl) Tribbett, Sammie Turner, Joseph Johnson, Willie D. Johnson; grandchildren, Crystal (Asa) Amirkiaee, Erica Patterson, Cortny Bell, Indigo Height, Branton Patterson (Devin Anderson), five great-grandchildren; one uncle, C.J. Newsome; sisters-in-laws’, Mary O’Neal, Algerine Stanley, Majorie Brazeal, Franscine Brazeal, Angela Brazeal, brother-in-law, Eugene (Linda) Brazeal, a devoted cousin and friend Renee Newsome, and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Public Viewing will be held Friday, January 17, 2025, from 11:00-7:00PM at the funeral home.
