Gloria Jean (Linton) McClendon

Celebration of Life Services for Mrs. Gloria Jean McClendon will be held on Sunday, May 24, 2026, at 2PM. Location: Living Faith Baptist Church – 1333 Bailey Lane Dublin, Georgia 31021. Committal Services will follow at the Dudley Cemetery – East Mary Street and Grant Road.

Gloria Jean McClendon was born March 28, 1949, to the late Henry & Doretha Linton. She was preceded in death by her late husband, Frankie McClendon, and her brother, Donald Henry Linton.

At an early age, she professed Christ as her savior and joined Jackson Chapel C.M.E and Living Faith Baptist Church. Gloria was a graduate of Oconee High School. She later obtained her Practical Nursing license (LPN). Gloria then navigated a life of serving others through nursing at Dublin Air Force Base, VA Medical Center, Central State Hospital in Milledgeville, Ga, and DaVita Dialysis Center here in Dublin, Ga.

She enjoyed making lasting memories with family, spreading love through warm acts of kindness by volunteering her time to the Dublin High School’s football booster club, and loved attending and cheering on her grands at the 50- yard line under the Friday Night lights. She was also a valued and consistent client of Mr. Henry Channel (the hair was always going to be laid)!

She is survived by two beautiful daughters, Renae (Tracy) Hall of Dudley Ga. and April Woodruff of Dublin, and one brother, Brady J. Linton of Dublin Ga., four grandchildren, Rafeal (Iccie) Wright of Milledgeville Ga., Natalie (Telly) McRae of Dublin Ga., Alexis (Sean) Wallace, of Augusta Ga., Kentavious (Chare’) Woodruff of Dublin Ga. and Evan Hall of Atlanta Ga. Seven great grands (DJ, JT, Tat, Dill, Dall, Quinon, Omirion). Gloria also leaves behind a devoted & longtime friend and roommate, Ms. Lorraine Mitchell, and a host of nieces & nephews.

She fought a good fight, she finished her course, she kept her faith.
