Mr. Gordon Allen Drost was born March 20, 1950 in Bristol, Connecticut to the late Almond and Dorothy Drost. He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Danny Drost, siblings, Jim Drost, Laura Betcher, Majorie Geotz, Keith Drost, Natalie Bosse, and Marilyn Leko. Gordon passed on Saturday, August 01, 2020 at Serenity Place.
Gordon lived in Bristol, Connecticut, South Carolina, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and moved to Dudley, Georgia in 2015.
He was a Vietnam Vet and he served in the United States Marine Corp. Gordon retired in 2008 from the Broward County School System. He was a faithful member of the Buckhorn United Methodist Church, a passionate believer in God, loved the United States Flag and His country.
Gordon had several hobbies such as, camping, hunting, fishing, motorcycles, and traveling. He was an avid knife collector. He loved practical jokes and could pull a joke on someone with the straightest face. He loved dogs above all animals but learned to love mycats, and he had 4 dogs and 3 cats of his on. Gordon was very passionate about life and favored and took care of those who were the underdog.
Gordon leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Leslie M. Drost; children, Jason Drost, Lindsay Gibson; siblings, Paul (Sandy) Drost, Audrey (Michael) Vanadestine, Debbie (Claude) Noiseux, Jackie Mannix; grandchildren, Justin and Jonathan Drost.
The family will plan a Celebration of Life at a later date. Serenity Funeral Home, Dublin has charge of arrangements.
