Gregory Lamar Jones, Jr.

Celebration of Life Services for Mr. Gregory Lamar Jones, Jr. will be held Sunday, September 10, 2023 at 3:00PM. Location: Williams Chapel Baptist Church 1142 Hwy 29 South East Dublin. Rev. E. Neil Dixon will serve as eulogist. Interment will follow at Dudley Memorial Cemetery.

Gregory Lamar Jones, Jr. affectionately called “Baby” by his Maternal Grandmother Della, “Pretty Eyes” by his Aunt Brenda, “Charlie” by his Aunt Stacey, and “Man” by his father. He shyly answered to each of his nicknames.  Gregory was born January 24, 2001 to the parentage of Gregory Lamar Jones, Sr. and Sundra Stanley Jones.

He was a star athlete at Dublin High School where he excelled in football. Proudly wearing the number 23 as running back for The Fighting Irish. He was a 2019 graduate of Dublin High School. He was employed at Mason Concrete Company. He was a beloved son, grandson, brother, nephew, uncle and friend.

Mr. Jones departed this life Monday, September 4, 2023. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Lamar Jones, maternal grandfather Luther James Stanley, and paternal uncle Vincent Jones.

Mr. Jones leaves to mourn his mother Sundra Stanley Jones of East Dublin, father Gregory Lamar Jones, Sr. (Monique) of Dublin, brother Rodney Alec Battle, Jr. (Asia), of East Dublin, sisters, Cassandra Jones, Tamika Jones, Shalonda Jones and Gabby Jones all of Dublin, maternal grandmother Della Stanley of Dublin, paternal grandmother, Naomi Perry of Dublin, aunts Brenda Stanley – Jones of Atlanta and Stacey Stanley – Hill (Terry) of Dublin, uncles Fred Jones and Steve Jones of Dublin and Anthony Ashely (Lucille), nephews Mauri Battle and Rodney Battle, niece Aubree Battle all of East Dublin, loving cousins Ryan and Tyler Jones of Atlanta, a special friend LaWanya Loyd of Atlanta and a host of family, friends and classmates.

Public Viewing will be held Saturday, September 9, 2023 from 10:00AM – 8:00PM.
