Jessica Shannon Pierce

Jessica Shannon Pierce was born May 28, 1979, and departed this life July 14, 2025.

It is with deep sorrow and great celebration to announce Jessica left this world and ran into the arms of Jesus. She is no longer wheelchair bound but is now walking, leaping and praising God.

Jessica is preceded in death by her grandparents, William Scarborough, Obed E. Pierce, Sr. and Virginia Pierce, two step-grandfathers, Leonard Andrews and Alfred Simmons.

Jessica leaves to cherish her parents, Sharon and Jamie Powell and Gene and Betty Pierce; grandparents, Phyllis Simmons and Bonnie and James Powell; sister, Amanda Messenger, nephew, Noah Messenger and a host of aunts, great-aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives.

The family wants to thank Georgia Hospice Care for the excellent services provided over the last 9 months.
