Celebration of Life Services for Mrs. Ketita V. Whitaker Chester will be held Saturday, August 17, 2024 at 11:00AM. Location: Anchor of Hope Church 2292 College Street Soperton, Georgia. Pastor Gilbert Posey will officiate.
Mrs. Ketita V. Whitaker Chester was born October 5, 1949, in Franklinton, North Carolina to Edsel V. Whitacker, Sr. and Mima Joy Champion.
Ketita was a member of Anchor of Hope Non-Denominational Church in Soperton, Georgia. She enjoyed shopping, bible-study and spending time with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James E. Chester, parents Edsel V. Whitaker, Sr. and Mima Joy Champion Whitaker, brothers, Jay Eric Whitaker, Peter Whitaker and Joe Whitaker.
She leaves to cherish her memories her children, Ketita (Eric) Vickers, Teresa (Chris) Baughcum and Wilton (Mandy) Harrison, Jr., siblings, Jimmy (Judy) Whitaker, Whit (Jean) Whitaker, Michael (Tammy) Whitaker, Joy Whitaker and Jan Whitaker, grandchildren, Brandon (Joanna) Shinholster, Kaylie Paige (Steven) Thomas, Daniel Ryals, Leslee Baughcum, Christopher “Marty” (Amory) Baughcum, Hunter Harrison and Gracee Harrison, and great-grandchildren, Caden Shinholster, Kam Shinholster and Rylee Paige Thomas.
In lieu of flowers, Mrs. Chester would like donations to be made to Anchor of Hope Church in her memory.
A private interment will be scheduled later.
