Mattie Mae (Love) White

Funeral Services for Mrs. Mattie Mae White, 85, of Dudley, will be held Friday, December 9, 2022 at 1:00PM. Location: Laurens Hill Baptist Church 1404 Laurens Hill Church Road, Dudley, Georgia. Rev. James T. Jackson will serve as eulogist. Interment will follow at Kurtz Cemetery.

Mrs. Mattie Mae White, known to many as “Mrs. Susie”, was born March 13, 1937, in Dublin, Georgia to the parentage of the late Rev. John Love and Pearlie Mae Ashley. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rev. John Love and Pearlie Mae Ashley, husband, Mr. Abraham White, daughter, Susan McCrae, siblings, Bernice Banks, Johnnie Mae Love, Johnnie Frank Ashley, Sr. and Todie Love.

She was devoted member of Laurens Hill Baptist Church where she served faithfully with the Ushers Ministry and Kitchen Ministry until her health failed. Mattie was a homemaker, loved cooking, and loved to go fishing with her partner in crime “Mrs. Ella Mae Ashely, loved sewing, spending time with family, shopping, and she was known for baking homemade cakes.

She leaves to cherish her memories her children, Rosetta Edmond, Roy James White, Sr., Nathan Stewart (Alice) White, Evelyn Gwen (Frankie) Coney, Tony Curtis White, Keith Brain (Lynn) White, Rhonda Rochelle (Willie) Nesbitt and Denise Cantrell White; siblings, Lymn Love; devoted friends, Ella Mae Ashley and Betty Mack, and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Public Viewing will be held Thursday, December 8, 2022 from 5:00-7:00PM at the funeral home.
