Mr. Mike Walter White, 72, of Dublin, Georgia, passed away January 1, 2025. Mike grew up cherishing life’s simple joys and dedicated his life to making a difference in the lives of others. Mike was a lifelong resident of Laurens County and graduated from Laurens County High School. He enjoyed spending his leisure times hunting and fishing.
In 1971, he married the love of his life, April White, beginning a beautiful partnership that expanded for more than fifty-three years.
Mike retired after fifty years as an insurance agent where he was respected and admired by his colleagues and clients alike.
He was the son of the late Berry “Pete” White and the late Phrocine White. He was preceded in death by his wife, April White; brother, Cleveland (Georgia) White; sisters, Lorene (Leon) White and Louanne (Hilbert) Fordam and brother-in-law, Tom Boknevitz.
He leaves to cherish his life’s memories his son, Samuel “Sam” White; sister, Paula Boknevitz; beloved companion, Rosa Farmer; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Celebration of Life Services will be held Saturday, January 4, 2025, at 2:00PM. Public viewing and visitation, will be held from 1:00-2:00PM, at Cedar Grove Methodist Church. Interment will follow in the Cedar Grove Methodist Church Cemetery located at 2432 Sadie Pearl Road Dublin, Georgia. Scott Davis will officiate.
