Celebration of Life Services for Mr. Milo Coney, Sr. will be held Friday, November 8, 2024, at 11:00AM. Location: First African Baptist Church 405 Telfair Street Dublin, Georgia. Rev. Kendrick K. Mack will serve as the eulogist. Interment will be Tuesday, November 12, 2024 at Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery – Milledgeville, Georgia.
Milo Coney was born Thursday, October 25, 1946, in Dublin, Georgia to the late Mr. Jake Coney and the late Mrs. Margie Harris Coney (Bob) Miller.
Upon graduating from Millville High School, he entered the United States Army. During his service he served Vietnam for 2 years. After his tour in Vietnam, he was stationed at Fort Carson in Colorado. After his time in the military he moved to Denver, Colorado where he resided for 30 plus years. While in Denver, Milo was a realtor and served as President of Yellow Cab Company. In 1989, he returned home to Dublin, Georgia. He later married the love of his life, Jacqueline Coney, on May 10, 1990. In 1994, he established Milo Coney’s Concrete Works which he employed many. The company was and continues to be a staple in the Dublin Community. He became a member of First African Baptist Church of Dublin, Georgia.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife of 34 years, Jacqueline Coney, sons, Milo (Aris) Coney, Jr. of Covington, Georgia, Pierre Manson of Odessa, Texas and Cal (Amanda) Claiborne of Tampa, Florida; daughters, Monik Lawson (Raymond) Bell and Jereka Bogan, both of Dublin, Georgia; grandchildren, Joshua Manson, Mila Coney, Makale Coney, Miles Coney, Makhi “Tre” Coney, Maddison Coney, Trinity Mack, Kayleigh Mack, Maxwell Coney and Emersyn Bell; great-grandchildren, Kaison Coney and Adonis Manson; brother, JC “Jab” Coney of Dublin, Georgia and Willie “Bill” Coney of Miami, Florida; bonus children, Peggy O’Neal, Anthony Devoe, Mardamian Height and Sherrie Jackson, close friend Edward Wynn, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Public Viewing will be held Thursday, November 7, 2024, from 10:00 - 8:00PM.
