Celebration of Life services for Mrs. Minnie J. Hodges will be held Thursday, March 19, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Browns Chapel Baptist Church - 1600 Lovett Road East Dublin, Georgia, with Rev. Issac Lawson officiating. Interment will follow at Lovett Mission Cemetery.
Minnie was born on May 3, 1936, in Dublin, Georgia, to the late Willie D. Jones. She was a dedicated employee of the Laurens County School System, where she faithfully served until her retirement.
Minnie passed away on Friday, March 13, 2026, at the Dublinair Nursing Facility in Dublin, Georgia.
She was the beloved wife of the late Thomas Hodges, Jr. and the loving mother of the late Lois, Eddie, Richard, Homer, and Leon Hodges, all of whom preceded her in death.
Minnie was known for her compassion, strength, and grace. She leaves behind a lasting legacy of love, service, and devotion to her family, church, and community. Her gentle spirit and warm smile touched the lives of many, and her presence brought comfort and joy to all who knew her.
She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted children, Willie (Kathy) Hodges of Dublin, Georgia, and Angel (Tony) Cephus of Atlanta, Georgia.
She is also survived by three sisters-in-law: Mazell Jones of Dublin, Georgia; Joyce Hodges of Goulds, Florida; and Esther Hodges of Miami, Florida.
Her legacy continues through nine grandchildren, a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends who will forever cherish her memory.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 18, 2026, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Serenity Funeral Home – 414 Telfair Street – Dublin.
