Celebration of Life Services will be held at Union Baptist Church – Saturday, March 14, 2026, at 3:00PM. Rev. Baron Powell will serve as eulogist.
Monte Ruth Nemzek Warnock was born September3, 1950 to Francis (Frank) E. Nemzek and Elnore Bennett Nemzek in Lafayette, Louisiana. She was born the 5th child out of seven children. She resided in Louisiana throughout her early years, later moving to Minnesota with her parents and siblings. She graduated from Regina High School in 1968. The summer after she graduated, she was able to go on a road trip with her mother throughout the Southern States.
She relocated to Georgia in her late teens, early twenties to live with her brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Mary Joe Nemzek. After residing in Georgia for some time, she met and married Hollis Warnock. Through this marriage she became a stepmother to Holly, Mark and Miles. In 1977, she became a mother to Hollis Irvin Warnock, Jr. On January 29, 1983, she gave birth to her only living child, Clarissa Georgina Monique. Monte Ruth was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who touched many lives with her kindness and warmth.
Monte Ruth faithfully served her community through her work with Laurens County School System. She began her career as a Dietician at East Laurens Elementary School. She became a Paraprofessional the following year. The latter part of years she moved to East Laurens Primary School and worked in Pre-K and Special Education. She made friends and positively influenced countless students and co-workers. Her caring spirit and gentle encouragement left a lasting impression on all who knew her.
Monte Ruth grew up Catholic but converted to Baptist in her adult life. She was a faithful member of Union Baptist Church. She loved the Lord and her favorite hymn was “I’ll Fly Away”.
Monte Ruth flew to heaven on March 6, 2026, into the loving arms of Jesus. She is finally whole again. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Hollis Warnock. They are separated no more. She was also able to wrap her arms around her precious son, Hollis Warnock, Jr.; her parents, Frank and Elnore Nemzek; siblings, Stevie Nemzek, Sandra Nemzek and also welcomed by her grandchild, Michelle Spikes, and many in-laws.
Monte Ruth is survived by her daughter, Clariss Georgina Monique (Lee) Flanders; step-children, Cathy Kelehar, Holly Warnock, Mark Warnock, Miles (Tanya) Warnock; grandchildren, Jessica (Shawn) Brooks, Brantley (Mandy-Joy) Warnock, Brittany Lancaster, Roxie White, Brice Warnock, Josh Warnock, Julia (Tyler) Sanders, Audrey (Shane) Dilley, Marie Spikes, Faith Young, Aidan Flanders, Violet Flanders, Severyn Young, Hevala Arnold, Symeer Young, Alorah Young; siblings; Patricia Lenore, Michael Nemzek (Elaine Horlock), Al (Pam) Nemzek, Mark (Ingrid) Nemzek, and a large loving family of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, brother and sisters-in-law’s, cousins and friends.
Monte Ruth will be remembered for her loving heart, dedication to her daughter and her deep devotion to her family. Her life was a blessing, her memory a treasure and she will dearly be missed by all who knew and loved her.
