Moses Jones

Celebration of Life Services for Mr. Moses Jones will be held Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at 2:00PM. Location: Serenity Funeral Home 414 Telfair Street – Dublin. Dr. Elgin Dixon will serve as eulogist. Interment will follow at Dudley Memorial Cemetery.

Moses Jones departed this life on Thursday, January 2, 2025. He was born April 18, 1956, in Dublin, Georgia

Moses was a native of Laurens County. He was preceded in death by his father, Lilton Jones, Sr. mother, Willie Mae Jones. He was also preceded in death by the love of his life, Dr. Dianne Carter-Jones and daughter Teresa Lynn Jones, brother David Lee Jones, Julius Jones, and John P. Jones.

Moses leaves to cherish his memories, his daughter, Amanda Jones-O’Neal (Daryl), one brother, Lilton Jones, Jr., and sister, Lester Mae Wardlaw.

Moses graduated from West Laurens High in 1973. He retired from the City of Dublin in 2012.

He enjoyed life to the fullest. He was a car collector, loved to fish and last but not least, loved to ride his motorcycle. Moses was soft spoken and a man of few words, but very knowledgeable and well spoken.

He will be sorely missed.

Public Viewing will be held Monday, January 6, 2025, from 11:00-7:00PM.
