Richard Mervin Wilkes

Memorial Services for Mr. Richard Mervin Wilkes will be held Tuesday, December 3, 2024, at 4:00PM. Location: Serenity Funeral Home 414 Telfair Street Dublin, Georgia 31021.

Richard better known to many as “Mervin” was born December 3, 1955, in Dublin, Georgia to Charles Wilkes and Betty Warnock Wilkes. Mervin was a graduate of Dublin High School, a member of Union Baptist Church where he attended many years. Mervin was a certified welder and served as owner operator of Wilkes Welding.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Wilkes, daughter, Heather Wilkes and fiancé, Shelia Evans.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his son, Charles (Sierra) Wilkes, mother, Betty (Eugene) Bracewell, brother, Brent (Jill) Bracewell, sister, Jamie (Phil) Cheek, uncle, Ashley Warnock, and a host of grandchildren and nephews.
