Roger B. Miller, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 17, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, love, and unforgettable memories. Born on June 29, 1947, in Miami, Florida, Roger built a life grounded in service, craftsmanship, and a passion for the great outdoors.
Roger married the love of his life, Kathy Miller, on June 25, 1972. Together, they shared a life full of love, laughter, and dedication to their family. He worked as a Master Electrician for the Dade County School System, where his skill and integrity left a lasting impact. He also served his community as a reserve police officer for the City of South Miami—a role that reflected his deep sense of responsibility and care for others.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents, Paul T. Miller, Sr. and Doris Fuller. He is survived by his loving wife, Kathy Miller; his daughter, Shelly Crawford; his son-in-law, Johnny Crawford III; and his cherished grandson, Canyon Crawford. He is also survived by his brother, Paul T. Miller, Jr.
Roger was a man of many talents and interests. He found joy in deep sea and freshwater fishing, hunting, and exploring the outdoors on airboats, swamp buggies, and 3-wheelers. He enjoyed horseback riding, welding, building trailers, and working with his hands—always creating and fixing with skill and pride. One of his greatest pleasures was cooking and BBQ'ing, often sharing his delicious meals with family and friends.
Roger will be remembered for his strong work ethic, generous spirit, and the love he had for his family and the outdoors. His warmth, laughter, and presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
