Roy Wendell Cherry

Memorial Services for Mr. Roy Wendell Cherry will be held Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at 5:00PM. Location: Serenity Funeral Home 414 Telfair Street Dublin, Georgia.

Roy was born January 2, 1945, to Roy Hancel Cherry and Pearl Williams Cherry.  He was born and raised in Dublin-Laurens County and surrounded by his family. He was a devoted father and grandfather to all of his children. He was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it.  He loved construction and was employed with Curry Residentials as a Sub-Contractor.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Pearl Cherry, wife, Frankie Cherry, brother, Billy Cherry, and his sons, Roy William Cherry and Charles Edward Brown.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his children, Dwayne Cherry, Tifffany (Charles) Cooper, Patricia Ann Cherry, Darby Carpenter, Debra Tayloe, and Billy Brown; two siblings, Joseph Cherry, and Patricia Baggett Foskey, sixteen grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
