Rubye Nell Whipple

Funeral Services for Miss Ruby Nell Whipple of Dublin was held on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at 10:00 am at The Graves at Rocky Creek Baptist Church Cemetery at 2130 Highway 338, Dexter, Georgia. Rev. Charlie Robinson delivered the Eulogy.

Miss Whipple was born in Laurens County Georgia on October 10, 1946 to the parents of The Late Joseph and Izzie Whipple. She was educated in the Laurens County school system and graduated from Millville High School, later that year she enrolled at Savannah State College, obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education in 1969. After College, She moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania where worked in the school system for many years Before Joining AT&T and Verizon in 2012. She retired from The Army Reserve in 2001 after 25 years of Service.

She was preceded in Death by her parents Joseph and Izzie Whipple; A Brother Joseph Whipple Jr.; A Sister Willie Ruth Lattimore.

At an early age she joined The Rocky Creek Baptist Church where she became an Usher and sung in the choir. While, living in Philadelphia, she worked in many different churches and in the community Programs. Also volunteer work at Veteran’s Administration and at City and State offices for outreach programs.

Miss Whipple is survived by a brother Albert Whipple; Sister in Law Annie Ruth Whipple; Nephews Joseph Whipple, Wayne Whipple, Jason Lattimore, Joshua Whipple, Joshua Whipple; Nieces Evelyn Nicole Whipple, Aysala Whipple; Many nieces ,nephews.
