Public Viewing for Mr. Tayon Dopson will be held Thursday, March 27, 2025, from 3:00-6:00PM at Serenity Funeral Home 414 Telfair Street. Interment will follow Friday, March 28, 2025, at Mallet Cemetery in Fairfax, South Carolina.

Sunday, March 16, 2025, Tayon Jasper Dopson was called upon by our Creator into eternal rest. Tayon was born on June 3, 2005, to the parentage of Steve E. Dopson, Sr. and Stacey Gooding in Dublin, GA.

Tayon was a graduate of Dublin High School. He was so loving, caring, and unpredictably funny! In his leisure time, he enjoyed playing video games and spending time with family and friends. Tayon was an avid basketball and football player and he had an intense love for dirt bikes and enjoyed riding whenever the weather permitted. He was viewed as the absolute LIFE of all those around him. Tayon was an incredible uncle to his nieces and nephews, and he loved each one of them unconditionally.

Tayon entered eternal rest alongside his grandmothers, Gertrud Dopson and Arlene Gooding, and his uncle, Tony Anthony Dopson.

He leaves behind a loving family who will forever hold and cherish his memories: his mother, Stacey Gooding; father, Steve E. Dopson, Sr.; sister, Schrise Parker; brothers: Steve E. Dopson, Jr. and Curtis Gooding; three nieces: Shamara Gooding, Ma’kaylah Carey, and Sch’liyah Pounds; two nephews: Maurice Parker and Kamonte’ Parker; grandfather, Charles Alston; great-aunt: Mamie Peeples; aunts: Melanie Dixon, Seanda Gadson, and Mary Frances Gooding; uncles: Wendell Gooding, David Dopson, and Lastone Alston; and a plethora of cousins, friends, and other family members.

The family asks for continued prayers and support during one of the most difficult times of their lives.
