Celebration of Life services Tracy L. Henderson will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at 1:00PM at Mount New Home Missionary Baptist Church - Folkston, Ga. Interment will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
Tracy Lamar Henderson, also known as Tray, was born on August 11, 1972, in St. Mary’s, Georgia, to Marilyn Henderson Griffin and Curtis Smith.
At the age of six, Lamar moved to Miami, Florida, with his mother, brother Leon Jr., and Cousin Carrie. He was baptized at an early age at Greater Israel Baptist Church in Miami, where his faith journey began. Later, after relocating to Atlanta, Georgia, he became a dedicated member of Victory Church in Norcross, where he faithfully attended services for many years.
Lamar attended Miami Beach Senior High School and graduated with the Class of 1991. After high school, he continued his education at Georgia Perimeter College in Atlanta and studied AC Refrigeration at Gwinnett Technical College. He began working at an early age, holding his first job at Burger King while still in high school. After graduating, he moved to Atlanta to live with his Aunt Laura, who helped him start his own lawn service business, which he operated for a couple of years. He later opened a small restaurant, showing his entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to hard work.
In his later years, Lamar worked as a driver for Tire Hub, a position he held until his passing. He was also involved in the entertainment industry, working alongside his partner Dewayne “Rambo” Carter with Rolling Rush Entertainment Management and serving as a digital creator for Grade A Music Group (GAMG).
He was preceded in death by his son, Trenton Henderson, his grandmother, Dorothy Harvey Mitchell, his grandfather, Hilliard “Bud” Henderson, and his stepfather, Freddie J Griffin.
Lamar leaves behind his loving wife, Rateshia Y. Henderson, his mother, Marilyn Griffin; his siblings: Leon Moody, Jr. (Vikki), Curtis Smith Jr., Angelia Campbell (Gary), Cenya L Burden (Reginald), Monique Smith, special brother-in-Law Rodrickus (Linda) Duggans; eleven aunts, seven uncles, nieces, nephews, a host of cousins & friends, a good friend & business partner Dewayne “Rambo” Carter, & a legacy of love, compassion, and strength.
