William Lawrence Obituary

Celebration of Life Services for Mr. William N. Lawrence will be held on Friday, February 20, 2026, at 4:00PM. Location: Serenity Funeral Home Chapel – 414 Telfair Street Dublin, Georgia 31021.

William “Scooter” Lawrence, 54, passed away on February 14, 2026. He was born on February 8, 1972, to Martha Hatfield and James Lawrence.

Scooter was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend whose life centered on the people he loved most. He was married to the love of his life, Lisa Dailey-Lawrence, and together they built a family that meant everything to him. He was the proud father of Dakota Lawrence, Cheyenne Lawrence, and Autumn Lawrence, and his greatest pride and joy was his cherished granddaughter, Alanni Todd, who brought endless happiness to his life.

He is survived by his wife, Lisa; his mother, Martha Hatfield; his children; his granddaughter; his brothers, Tim (Gwen) Brinson and Robert Lawrence; his son-in-law, Donivan Todd; his dear friend, John Ruszala; as well as several aunts, uncles, many nieces and nephews, and a host of other loving family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Lawrence; his maternal grandparents, Nelson and Katherine Coffey; and his very special mother-in-law, Agnes Cooke.

Scooter had a passion for reading, gaming, and heavy metal music. A self-taught chef, he found true joy in the kitchen and took great pride in his work as a cook, especially with his Cracker Barrel family. He was known for his strong work ethic, his honesty, and his ability to make others laugh with his well-timed jokes. If someone needed help, Scooter was always there without hesitation.

More than anything, Scooter lived for his children and granddaughter. He loved them more than life itself, and that love will remain his legacy. He didn’t love many people but those he did, he loved fiercely and in his own special way.

He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved him. We have lost an amazing person, and words cannot describe how deeply he will be missed. He was taken too soon but he will never be forgotten. His memory will live on in those who he loved and who loved him.
