Funeral Services for Mr. Willie M. King will be held Sunday, November 29, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Pine Hill Christian Church Cemetery 2908 Fountain Road Cadwell, Georgia. Rev. Wilbert Simmons will officiate.
Willie M. King was born December 10, 1958 in Dublin, Georgia. He was known as “The Jack of All Trades”. Willie gained his wings on November 23, 2020 in Augusta, Georgia.
He graduated from West Laurens High School and served in the National Guard, he attended Tifton College and became a certified mechanic. He was employed at Eletrolex Home Product in McRae, Georgia and Cagles in Macon, Georgia. He told the best jokes and made the best biscuits in the world.
Willie was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Bobb Lee King, Sr. and Ms. Cathlee P. Austin, step-daughter, Latonya M. Lanier, nephews, Michael A. Mackey and Shawn V. King.
He leaves to cherish his memories children, Willie M. Lanier, Shamiece Lanier, step-children, Toresse (Lucretia) Wells, Courtney Lanier, and his life long partner of 21 years Sara Lanier; two brother, Cliffordd (CB) King, Leon (Charlotte) King, two sisters, Sally (David) Mackey and Rosa King, grandchildren, Jama Swint, Daruis Lanier, Kailey Wells, Torianna Wells, Kierra Rogers, Toreese Wells, Jr., Lundyn Lanier, two aunts, Classie Mae Miller and Willie Mae Harper, sister-in-law, Leila “Dottie” Green, and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Family will receive friends at the home of the daughter Shamiece Lanier 1202 South Jefferson Street, Dublin utilizing social distance guidelines.
Public Viewing will be held on Saturday, November 28, at Serenity Funeral Home from 10:00-7:00.
